GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE - SEOUL DAY 2

Originally, we wanted to do sightseeing on out first day in Seoul.  But the palace is closed on Wednesdays due maintenance reasons . This is a very important tip for whoever is going to Seoul. Since the palace was closed, we decided to come back the day after.  The entrance fee for students is around 2000-3000 won =  14 kr - 20 kr.  You can also enter for free on culture day, which is on a certain Friday or Thursday on the last week of the month, just google it :)

The  Gyeongbokgung palace  was okey, in my opinion.  It was huge, and the architecture was cool. But its not  as massive as the Summer palace in China, and nothing beats that wow factor after you've seen one of the biggest palaces in Asia. Walking around the palace, I've learned a lot about the Korean and Japanese war and their history, why the despited each other so much a few generations back. It was a very interesting point of view.

The tour took around 1, 5 hour and it was us totally fooling around and taking our time. After the the palace, was wanted to stop by the Namdaemun market to do some street shopping, will write more about it tomorrow.

XOXO
